When you write out a check for a particular expense, you don't list it as "miscellaneous" unless you are trying to cya in some manner. But even listing in miscellaneous can draw attention to those who will want to investigate the books

Sometimes "miscellaneous" is simply miscellaneous. I've expensed hundreds of checks that way, and I wasn't trying to "cya". Are you JW's Deep Throat or something?
