"The markets actually do work. Corporations that seek to defraud their investors to line their own pockets pay, dearly. The market punishes them. Their stock valuation dwindles to practically nothing overnight and their personal reputations, not to mention fortunes are toast."

Well of course corrupt corporations end up paying for their business fraud. But what about all the innocent people that have been scammed? The only logical answer we can give is that they have the legal right to sue these corporations, and that is what is happening here. Two Halliburton investors were scammed out of their hard-earned money and they have chosen Judicial Watch as the law firm of choice.

That's tough rhetoric.... Good choice of law firms if you want to lose..... I wonder if 'eww' gave them an advance on their winnings?

They both bought their stock AFTER Cheney became vice-president; at that point he was no longer CEO of Halliburton.

How could Cheney have "scammed" these investors if he wasn't in charge of the company?

How was the investor who made a profit on his Halliburton stock "scammed"?

Two investors chose to buy Halliburton stock three years after they changed their accounting method and disclosed that to their existing shareholders.

If these two investors didn't bother to do their homework then it's their own tough luck.

Had Halliburton not disclosed this I would not be making this argument, but they did, therefore this suit is a pathetic attempt by Larry for more fact time.

The most pathetic part of all of it is that the media is salivating over it. Larry must be orgasmic.
