12:57PM Halliburton responds to Judicial Watch lawsuit (HAL) by Michael Baron Halliburton (HAL) is off 30 cents, or 2.1 percent, to $13.82, in midday action. The company is out with a press release responding to a lawsuit filed by Judicial Watch, a Washington, D.C.-based legal watchdog group. I have noticed that her appearances do coincide with press releases from the JW machine. But to ask is just too too personal and none of anyone's business ;-)

I know that this is off the subject of JW and should be on the religion forum of FR, but I want to address your points.

How do you feel about grand-papa taking those oaths?

I would think that they are juvenile and simply an exaggeration of the type of oaths that kids recite, ergo: "Cross my heart and hope to die, stick a thousand needles in my eye". Children will recite "cross my heart" when they want to bolster the veracity of an earlier statement. They will bolster it further and further if necessary by adding the rest of the oath. These oaths recited by Amelia's grandpapa (and thousands of others) are simply made extremely gross, lurid and graphic to bolster the supposed importance of those oaths. I think it is juvenile, but it's their choices, not mine.

I would also read the testimony of the Mason that I posted earlier.

From the webpage you linked:

The Grand Master informed me that Freemasonry accepts for membership men of every faith or religion, so long as the prospective member believes in a Supreme Being (whomever he may be) and in the resurrection of the body to a future life (however and through whomever that was accomplished.) This was a great shock to me. I had not realized that those who were members of anti-Christian religions could become Masons.

I am asking politely, just how does your author jump to “anti-Christian”? Does having a policy of including all people who believe in a Supreme Being make them “anti-Christian? Isn’t it possible to be non-Christian without being “anti-Christian”. That is a huge leap in logic. I know that Alcoholics Anonymous as well as many other groups have similar tenets, does that make them “anti-Christian” too?

OK, enough about religion, I just had to comment.

Have you formulated opinions about Islam? Have you ever been Muslim or are you in the process of becoming one? You're question is ridiculous.

I suspect her buds over at the watch give her a heads up.

Has the klaymer had any jury trials that you know of?

How so, ridiculous? If you don't want to answer, fine. Yes, I have a FEW informed opinions about Islam. I am not now, nor have I ever been Muslim. I have no desire to become one. I have studied their religion, in recent months. I've read some of their books, most notably their Koran. Not all of it, but some. I've spoken with several Islamic's. To the best of my ability, I've tried to base my opinion on facts. What about yourself?

Anything that teaches a doctrine apart from Christ is "anti-Christian". As far as these oaths, Masons take them very seriously and most have fears of being harmed by others if they were to break rank.

Do all men worship the same God? Ask a Mason that question. But you're right, this belongs in the religion forum!

What about yourself?

Yes, I have some informed opinions about Islam, as I do about Masons. Based on what I've read, talked to and discussed with others, I have formed an opinion of both. (I won't be joining either any time soon)

I belong to the Lutheran Church Missouri-Synod, which is moderately conservative branch of Lutheranism. The Lutheran Church has always taken a strong stance against Masonry, for good reasons.

I believe that many members in Masonry actually do not know what is going on within their orders, but the first objective any conspiracy I suppose, is to convince everyone that it doesn't exist.

You are right about Masonry Registered.

Universalistic religion is a dangerous path to tread and I noticed this disturbing trend right after September 11th. Universalistic religion is the first step towards a one-world government.

Read Revelation in the Bible.

"Howlin is a priest in her local coven, she has the knowledge and authority to speak as an expert."

LOL! That is funny. Is she really? That is sort of scary. In Christianity, women really aren't supposed to be pastors or priests.
