Hi Julie! I am just catching up from being off line for several hours. Lots of chuckles on the thread this afternoon.

Thanks, everyone, for the humorous posts. I was pretty crabby when I was finally able to log back on. The funny posts put me in a MUCH better mood. :-)

I am very happy that you are back online. It could have been worse.

I would have waited for cable, too, but it is too far off around here. I barely got dsl. I signed up for one year to take advantage of the freebies. I will re-evaluate when that is up and if cable is here by then.

So did I. After my year was up, they jumped the price $10 a month - but I knew that was coming. LOL.

I know it wouldn't be any cheaper to go with cable and my son installed a wireless modem so that we can have three computers accessing our dsl connection. I don't think we could do that with cable. So, we will just keep what we have. I don't have too many complaints with dsl.

My main complaint with dsl is I was sent a dynamic modem and it is very slow opening a new 'page' or window. Recently I have had problems with a new window, indicating "you may not be connected to the network'. I have no idea what that is or what to do about it. I am connected since I am on AIM IM and here and many others at the same time. And, I cannot access Media Player. Oh well.
