Did ya catch how the pros. was trying to make it sound like she did somehow mention "the guy from the corner" - implying DW? Well the def. brought out that this was in the context of speaking about Rich and Kieth - saying something like "there was rich, and its his ex brother-in-law or something, the guy from the corner." Defense said "Do you know if Rich lives on a corner - or Kieth?" Witness said no. Rich does live in the same neighborhood as the VD's - maybe he does live on the corner. Maybe she was describing Kieth in relation to Rich - and Kieth lives on the corner near Rich? (But how would Denise know that - unless they had been there that night.) When the defense read back what Denise had said - it sounded to me like she was not talking about DW

I liked it when the defense said - "she didn't say anything about a creepy guy at the bar - did she?" witness - "No."

Was reading Glennie's testimony again...she was standing talking to DW and watching them play pool...so he wasn't just standing them watching..looking creepy.

Do you get the impression that even some of the LE aren't fond of Dusek? Not all of them by any means, but a couple of them have been terse with him.

I thought it was quite effective that the prosecutor brought out that even thought Denise did not mention DW by name she did talk about the neighbor on the corner. And despite the defense attempt to say she was talking about Keith or Rich, it is plain Denise was talking about DW. First, she was in the company of the latter two the night before so she would not refer to either of them in the manner she did, and second, Rich used to live close by but no longer does, I believe.
