Why would a carpet fiber sample only be submitted from Danielle's room?

Why not the rest of the VD house..He had to walk thru the house and up the stairs and in the hallway..spending more time on that carpet than in her room actually....so why not submit a house sample in hopes that that fiber would show up in his stuff?

Another thing to check out is when the first detective walk through was done vis. Westerfield returning to the MH to get his cell phone and vacuum the MH on the afternoon of 2/4.

Good point...even the area carpets in the bathroom should have been checked. Brenda does like the color ORANGE...

I am sure they did take samples from all over the van Dam house. They didn't find similar fibers in DW's environment so no need to testify to it. (It is clear they took lots of samples from their house i.e. the cut-outs of drywall)
