Bush Basher= Anyone that dares to compare presidential decisions
with stated conservative policy, or the constitution.

Reagan fought back HARD against the left in his first term. Bush I capitulated. Do you remember which one was re-elected in a landslide and which one slunk away in defeat?

If it really is about winning elections, as the Bush apologists claim then why not use the winning strategy?

You know, if you wanted to fool anyone around here into thinking you were legit, and not from the DU, you might have made at least one statement that was the truth!

Of course, as a Democrat, you probably don't even know what the word truth means now, do you?

Our southern border isn't as secure as it should be.

I agree. This is a big blind spot for GWB. Still, it's no reason to elect Gork, Daschole, or Geekhardt.

but many Republicans think and vote like third-party crackpots, imagining that it is somehow smart to let the liberal win than to vote for someone who doesn't parrot the appropriate lines on every single issue.

You think this writer spends time around FR?! LOL!

Thanks for the ping. Great article!

I especially like the thought that President Bush's integrity is becoming part of the consciousness of Americans. The light he brings after the darkness we endured is the most important thing he can do for America, and he's doing it with complete consistency.

Bush has killed Kyoto, drawn a line on the International Criminal Court, cut taxes, refused to kowtow to the race-baiting NAACP, prosecuted the war with vigor...seems like a winning strategy to me.

However, what he NEEDS in order to fight the LEft effectively is a Republican Senate. This is absolutely critical. If conservatives stay home this fall because they are PO'd at Bush, and Daschle retains control of the Senate, we can kiss the federal judiciary--and therefore the Constitution itself--goodbye.

Boy did that Reagan fight! He fought for deficits, he fought to appoint a moderate from Arizona to the SCOTUS at the first opportunity when Robert Bork was available. He fought for Bork, too-- he's our grandest supporter in the Court isn't he?! He fought to get Republicans elected to the House and Senate-- which is why Bush 41 was so excited about winning in 1988; he could easily get his appointment of Clarence Thomas to the Court when a probable vacancy came up and he could keep his no new taxes pledge with help from the GOP House.

I could go on, but you get the point. Reagan was a great president, but he wasn't a god.

voted for Nader

No further response is required. (Nice to see that your boy is busy in Cuba this week, sucking up to his favorite Leftist dictator.)

It's pessimistic to believe all the malarkey about the majority of the voting public being buffoons who blindly follow Dan Rather's advice. Reagan proved that it's easy to go over the heads of the Oprahs, etc. and connect to honest, hard-working Americans. GWB has done great things since being elected. More than I thought he would. But he's also signed on to too much of the liberal agenda in the name of attracting 'moderates.' It's a shell game.

Hmmmmm, every strong supporter of President Bush that I know on this forum has done that. Every one.

That would make all the people you folks call Bushbots (including me), by your definition above, Bush Bashers.........right?

The only reason his ratings are so high (besides polls being conducted unscientifically) is because the country is rallying behind the current leader like good citizens. He needs to be a true leader if he expects to be reelected.

BWAHAHAHAHA....that's not the reason, silly. It's because the American people finally had a chance to see the real W, instead of the W filtered through the left leaning press corps. Sheesh...take a look at the detail behind those poll numbers and you will see real admiration for the man, not just a rallying behind the commander in chief.

just repeating what is common knowledge

Common knowledge among whom? You and your leftist Nader buddies? HA!

'Common lies' is a more accurate description.

Certainly not. But it is a good reaon to vote for Pat Buchanan in 2004.

Go Pat Go!!!

Your post just solidifies what most of us who have been here more than one day already know....that it is far better to elect republican leaders than to vote 3rd party and end up with Algore.

It demonstrates that Gore still has support and that he may be a tough candidate to defeat in 2004.

Thanks for pointing this out.
