Howdy lj. That's some beautiful country up there in Humboldt. Driving I-5 may make for a faster trip, but 101 is the only way to go IMHO. The ocean, the mountains, the redwoods, it well worth the extra time. Sometime I'll have to make that trip as a passenger instead of driver.

Speaking of heat, my thermometer on the patio is reading 106 - and it's not broken. Might cool down to 85 by midnight.
