This job is a little tougher than I thought it was going to be. LOL! I think I am going to have to enlist Louie's help to add a little "louie" humor to my featured freeper posts. :-)

Good work! You must be in Calif where I worked and raised a family for 30 years. We need more cool guys in Maine who can create jobs. Retirees like me can only spend and cough up tax dollars. All I ask is that those who put music on pages do it in such a way that the the viewer has a choice before it just starts up. This laptop has a mute button but most don't. Web pages with embedded MIDI noise are the single biggest reason I reach for that button!

No insult to music-lovers intended, just please make peace and quiet the default.

I was away over the holidays, back to AZ to see dear Mom and dear Dad, was glad to hit the start button on my Mac when I got home yesterday, first thing I did...second thing: go to FR.

Yes, I'll admit, there are days that I'd rather just lurk, and not post. Not so much now that I feel I've made a connection here with FReepers I knew a few years ago and had lost touch with for a while. I love the interaction with other FReepers, and having this thread keeps me on my toes and keeps me in touch. I value the friendship of many FReepers, and I rely on many of you to help me make this thread a fresh, fun place to visit. I also am relying heavily on Mama_Bear and daisyscarlett, because I just cannot spend the time it takes to do something new every single day. I can't. : ( The photos of FR's Armed Forces are only part of what draws others to this thread, but it's an important part, and I made a promise that I'd keep those groups of men and women who have served always updated and always available. Thank you again, Willa, for your post.

I know, you are right, it can be annoying, even to those of us who love music. I keep my speakers turned down for that reason. If it is something I want to hear, I turn them up. :-)
