These boys were friends and classmates of my sons, who happened to be riding in a different van that day.
Here's the "rest of the story" that wasn't widely reported:
One of the boys, Nachum Sossonkin, was gravely wounded and lay in a coma for many months. It was predicted that he was permanently brain damaged and would live a vegetative existence. However, Nachum's family and friends did not give up. Thanks to topnotch medical care and the prayers of thousands of wonderful people all over the world (Jews and non-Jews), Nachum made a complete recovery. He is now married and a father of children.
