President Bush arrived back in Washington today, and presented the Medal of Honor to Vietnam Veteran Captain Humbert "Rocky" Versace. Late this afternoon, the President held a press conference regarding the need for Congress to support the nation's priorities. Bush also tackled questions regarding his time at Harkin as well as to what will be addressed in his speech to Wall Street tomorrow. Enjoy your daily dose of Dubya!

I don't think Barney's a real dog. He looks like one of those lawn silhouettes sold in gift catalogs. Either that or he's a Secret Service Agent in disguise (or not).

I simply cannot fathom what Poppy must feel every day of his amazing life, having retired from his own excellent career to find himself enjoying the honor of seeing his firstborn son as President of the United States.

I have lived through the almost complete transformation of the American press from reporting to making the news. I was pondering the stupidity of the questions our media asks (excepting a few individuals who have personal ethics and work for a company that lets them be journalists), and I know this is going to sound elemental, but for the first time it really hit me how true it is: these stupid-question journalist wannabes were
taught to break away from the old, restrictive forms of Who, What, When, Where, How, and Why questions. They were
taught to inject bias into their "questions."
It's time for some right-thinking journalism profs to get tenured. In every university that teaches journalism.

Perhaps you'll need to cork that whine about inedability so no one gives you a bunch of raspberries, or worse, poysenberries. No one here believes you incakeable of respawnding to the merest of 'chokes.

King also said the RATS are already prepared to attack the President's speech as soon as he finishes it. They all think Bush will be greatly hurt by this. The journalist from the Washington Post also agreed. Their goal is to take him down and take him down fast. I don't know that they actually believe what they are saying ... I think a lot of it is journalistic swagger to convince the electorate that their opinions are true. Lack of confidence while attacking would be fatal to their end game.
Stupidity, irrelevance, and lack of truth could also be fatal to their end game. ;=)
