Their story on Osama hasn't really gelled, has it?

Having just arrived on this thread from the Ted Williams cryonics thread, I find this comment most amusing.

However, Musharraf said in January that he believed Osama was dead and gone, and I have no reason to not accept that. Eyewitness report posted on FR: Dead of pneumonia in December in a dank mountain cave, possibly by 15 Dec.

You know, guy ... if I were going to pin the mobilization of the entire world (one way or another, with us or agin' us) on the US's "War on Terror" as focused on the one guy Osama Bin Laden ... I'd want absolute control over him.

I think that's easier done dead than alive.

I find it hard to believe he wasn't a goner before the towers were hit though I suppose a Live word of encouragement probably would be a nice touch for the suicide team.

I think it's really cheesy for our partners in the War Against Terror ... those Former Soviets who've worked so hard to get their Anti-Terror Internationale up and running so quickely ... not to let us know one way or another.

So why doesn't GW know 6 months later?
