[history]
Seven months after ordering a statewide hiring freeze, the last thing Gov. Gray Davis needed was a headline saying, "State Government Employment Reaches Record Level of 234,505 Employees."
But that's just the headline Davis got from the Capitol Weekly -- a little (10,000 subscribers) paper that caters mostly to state employees looking for new job opportunities.

CAPTAIN QUEEG PING
I'll see your Captain Queeg and raise you a crime boss.
But I'm still trying to determine if Al Capone, Joseph Bonanno (sp?) or the mythical
Don Corleone could do justice to the legacy that Red Davis is building.
Got to give the guy credit for publishing his bulletin with the little blurb where
the job adverts would have been...if he hadn't muszzled himself.

Thanks for the Ping! On another subject.....Part of PCH (Los Angeles) has been renamed "Vietnam Veteran's Memorial Highway". I would like to see the rest of it follow suit. We need a grassroots effort to bring this effort forward. What do you think?

Gray Davis couldn't manage a burger king. The idiot has bankrupted the state and still thinks we should all hold our noses and re-elect him. He acts very immature when anyone crosses him, he seems to have little Napolean syndrome.
I Can't wait to hear his consession speech this November. I wonder who he'll blame for his defeat, because in his liberal mind full of mush it couldn't be the result of his coruption, malfeasance and mismanagement, it has to be the fault of the right-wing.

This made FoxNews Britt Hume News show today!

That's right. We have had several discussions of that on various threads and that even generated bumper stickers. The target of the stickers are those followers of the environmentalist who would never vote for a Republican but might vote for a Green candidate.

"State Government Employment Reaches Record Level of 234,505 Employees."A quarter of a million government employees??? LOL!
Looks like they better hire another hundred thousand just to collect more of our money.......
May as well made it an even half million, big government workers.
234,505???? Jezzzz
