I also meant to say what nice memories you have of your grandma in S.C. I also make soup mix with the produce from the garden and freeze it for the winter. It's so nice in the winter to be able to get a taste of the summer that way.

It is unusual that the tomatoes aren't in yet. I always associate the 4th of July with the tomatoes coming in in the South. Good on you for the okra-my granny always put that in the soup, too. I also like okra fried with a cornmeal batter....Only eat it when I am in the South, though...
