I can't help but wonder where these poll numbers would be without the Fox network - and the Internet.Buried. However, because it will be completely embargoed and remain unreported by the New York Times, the Washington Post, the Los Angeles Times, CBS, ABC, NBC, CNN, MS-NBC, any paper owned by Gannett Corporation, Newsweek, the Boston Globe, Time, PBS, or NPR -- many people will still never see it.

Silly it may be, but it addresses a key political point which could affect the Congressional elections and the Presidential race to come. All the chat shows are talking about it. The basic premise has been that the GOP, known as the party of big business, would be vulnerable to an attack on this front. This polling data, if accurate, would be a blow to advocates of that strategy, and, more importantly, to the Nader 2004 campaign.

When asked specifically if Bush is at least partially responsible for the scandals because of the climate he has set in office by his close ties to big corporations, 46% of Americans say yes, and 49% say no. But by a slightly more critical margin of 51% to 47%, Americans also say that Clinton is at least partially responsible because of the climate he set in office with his moral failings.

They can blame who they want for the accounting scandals, prosecution is the responsibility of this DOJ. So far I've seen nothing but pre mid term election noise. If the people settle for speeches and a couple new regulations that will be circumvented before the ink is dry, we are as stupid as they believe we are.

Huck, I searched the Gallup website and CNN and can't find this poll. Maybe you and/or others may have better success. I hope the poll is true but like Reagan I like to trust but verify...

I hope President Bush points out tomorrow that this corporate corruption didn't just begin on January 20, 2001! Character starts at the top and clinton didn't have any. His "anything goes" administration affected every area of American life. God bless our President for being the honest, staight-up man that he is.

"Slickmeister" and his cohorts are convening an emergency meeting in Harlem at this moment. The "spin" team will be dispatched once again in an attempt to limit damage. After all, we're talking legacy here ...

For about 5 years, I have been telling people,

The Decade of Fraud(s)..."

There was a thread yesterday about how the dems now view Dubbya as having surrounded himself by people with character and vision.
What the dem socker mums are just now getting is that Dubbya IS OF CHARACTER AND VISION
To: kattracks
Well DUH! Very, very few Americans are so ignorant about business that they could believe that these things could come about in a year or even two. These scandals have been brewing for years.
The democrat party is even more at risk because they are the party who went on and on about how character doesn't count.
