Last I read in American history books states that leave a Federal Union commit aggression against the Union. I think it was called secession or something back in the 1860s. I think the Union burned down a few secession cities down south for good measure. The Croats were just as guilty of starting a war and just as undeserving of the respect of Americans for their cause. Whether an American will agree with you depends on whether his great-gradpappy fought under General Sherman or under General Lee. ;-)
