This is a particularly incisive column. Lou Dobbs was both hailed and reviled for naming Islamism explicitly as the enemy of the anti-terror campaign. But it's only a short step from Islam to Islamism -- and altogether too many Muslims appear willing to take it.

Alone among the major religions of the world, Islam:
opposes material progress and condemns most Earthly pleasures,
erases all boundaries between religion and politics,
denies that its adherents have any ethical obligation to non-adherents,
prescribes death for blasphemy, heresy, and apostasy,
preaches the use of force to impose itself on all the people of the world,
promises eternal bliss to those who die fighting to extend its dominion.

All of the above could be paraphrased into a description of Marxism, the last great fake faith. The next "Evil Empire", Islam.

I was discussing this with my husband this morning. I claimed that Islam is more dangerous than the Communists. Why? Both sought world domination. However, it seems that Islam has created an extremely brutal people who enjoy the suffering of "infidels." Communists may have acted brutally to political opponents, but I don't think they generally targeted innocent civilians for murder. Also, many of those living under Communism did not actually believe in it, but were frightened to openly oppose it.

I remember a cousin who got out of the USSR in the 1970's told me that the only place it was safe to talk freely was "in bed with your wife ... maybe."

Among an estimated 300 demonstrators outside Bush's Target Center rally, Emily Nelson of Maplewood and an Afghan woman who said her name was Sara clashed over the war in Afghanistan. Nelson defended Bush while Sara said Muslims are being persecuted.

There is litle dount in my mind that then next nuclear weapon dropped in anger will be over a mislim country or a country that is being inveded by muslims.

The net result of all this has been to extinguish American tolerance for Islam and its followers in a large segment of the populace, possibly a majority.

As for the abandonment of Islam in the last paragraph, I think the complete elimination of Mecca all traces of allah/mohammed might help facilitate that.

Recent surveys of the peoples of Muslim states reveal that their antipathy toward the United States is at an all time high.

Well, American antipathy toward Muslims is at an all time high. The sleeping giant is now awake and the Muslims and Osama bin Laden didn’t figure it would happen like this – that we would actually fight. Militant Muslims expected us to do nothing and let terror take over the US. The liberals are in a fantasy world with their multiculturalism and the diversity initiatives.

While the author is certainly correct that the enemy is Islame he is incorrect in the apocalyptic prediction of the American sheeples' reactions. So far the supine grazing continues apace as 9/11 fades in the distance only bovine criticism of the president is heard from the RATS and the RATmedia shows the horror unimaginable of a kid getting punched and his head bounced harmlessly off a car hood. Terrorist murder is unleashed in LAX but Jew-killing is not so bad as minority noggin bouncing to the lyin' mthrfckng media.

Not only do the sheeple go by the saying of "what have you done for me lately" but "what have you done to me lately." When it undermines the President and elects more oblivious and evil RATS to the Congress I will rest my case.
