Your point(s) are well made. I am encouraged, however, by two things. 1. The first tankerload of Russian oil just arrived in the port of Houston. 2. There is an encreasing pressure on the current administration to allow drilling in ANWR and in the Gulf of Mexico. The accomplishment of these two things will allow me to see my most fervently prayed for event, ie, seeing the Saudis eat their oil without benefit of salt or pepper. With friends like these two-faced bastards who needs enemies.

BTW, I have been trying to find anyone who can name a single product of a modern Islamic country. Don't say oil, they have it under their ground, but for the most part it's our technology that produces it, refines it and ships it to the buyers. All they do is take the money and put on the airs of Uriah Heep.

Saudi Arabia and the rest of the oil rich Arab nations have nothing to offer the world but the oil under their feet and Radical Islam. The billions they have made have not gone in to creating an industrial base, irrigating their nations or educating their young in to runing their nations in a modern manner. Working for a living is something the foreigners that they bring in do.

As for our dependance on their oil wanning I am glad about the new relationship with Russia, but GW's excemption of drilling off the shore of Florida to help his brother get reelected hurt his chances of convincing Americans that we need to drill in ANWAR. In my oppinion, he should have use the political capital of this situation to educate the voters on the national weakness of importing oil and lack of energy independance. We should be building nuclear powerplants with better safeguards instead of not at all. And we should be drilling where ever we can.
