Certainly, few British academics took a stand against Tom Paulin, a lecturer in English at Oxford University, when he said in April that Jewish settlers in Israel should be shot dead.
Maybe, in plain words, they're a bunch of anti-semites.

I am convinced that the only way to survive being sucked into international socialism is to stand with the nations, make them our allies against the internationist. The nations which I refer to mostly have a quarrel with Islam and don't get along well with Europe. They are Israel, Russia, India, what's left of Serbia, what's left of the US. If such an alliance were formed it would do wonders to accelerate the growth of conservative politics in Europe causing the collapse of international socialism from inside. Such alliance means we have to get a non-internationalist as a leader. And if we don't there will eventually be a revolution in this country which will be worse than the Civil War. Unfortunately.
