Fact is the Euro-trash are PC-racists, shouting hypocritical liberal platitudes while their sneering elitism undergirds policies (and cultural attitudes) which close off the paths to assimilation which remain multitudinous and well-trodden in the "simplistic" United States.

France's least observant Muslims, Tribalat found, were Algerians, among whom 10 percent of men and 18 percent of women constituted a religious-conservative "hard core." That is still double the proportion of French Catholics who practice their religion at all. Half of Turkish immigrants to France practice their religion, a figure far above that of Turks who remain at home.

I could not help noticing this.

If this statistic is to be believed, it may be confirmation of what David Pryce-Jones (author of "The Closed Circle") claims, i.e. that the problems in Arab culture predate Islam and continue to this day. How else to explain that while Turkish immigrants to France are much more observant than Arabs, they are apparently at the same time more law-abiding and better integrated into French society?
