Whoops, I just did the math and he was born August 1918, less than 2 months from the Sox' last title. Doubly ironic that he was born in 1918! Could this be THE omen that the Red Sox are destined to win the World Series this year?

Frazee (sp?) sold Ruth to the Yanquis in December 1919 in order to finance "No No Nanette." This is a one century curse. The Red Sox are ineligible to win til 1920. Don't keep holding your breath, you have a while to wait.
