Whoops, I just did the math and he was born August 1918, less than 2 months from the Sox' last title. Doubly ironic that he was born in 1918!

Oronic, isn't it? Teddy ball game was born in 1918. The last year the sox won the big one.

He stands 10 ft tall compared to todays players. They can pump up all the steel they want and inject steriods all day long....but they cannot match up to the legend.
