Middle easterners that come to this country are usually clanish and move to neighborhoods where they can find members of their own ethnic group. They come here and start business so they can earn money and bring in more relatives from overseas. When they move into an area they stay to themselves, so don't expect to find them at community activities and meetings. They are very merchant minded and to find one at a recruitng station is extremely rare.

Seems to me that gaining US citizenship is separate and apart from serving in the military. Giving citizenship to foreigners, who have not otherwise qualified for citizenship, just cheapens the value of becoming a citizen. What's the next solgan for the Army? "...Join the Army and get your papers..."

I am opposed to noncitizens serving in our military unless they have a special skill and the government gives them an exemption. We have 11 million illgeal aliens in the US and more are bursting through the border every day. How many of these "illegals" are we to take into our military and provide them with citizenship? We will then end up like Rome - with an army compossed of foreigners who in the end turned on Rome and destroyed it.

Allowing noncitizens to serve in our military is opening up the door to a "fifth column" right in the units that are supposed to protect the country. I don't think the Muslim fanatics, determined to destroy the US, have failed to realize that they can slip their agents across our porous borders, provide them with fraudulant papers and enlist then in our military. We then reward them with citizenship, which gives these "new citizens" access to the most sentitive segments of our military (such as nuclear weapons) - remember we can't engage in racial profiling to keep these new citizens out of sensitive assignments, for instance in a missile silo. When the dust settles, we will realize how foolish we were. We have too many weapons of mass destruction in our military to allow this foolishness to happen.

While some of them might be patriotic, it just takes a few dedicated fanatics to cause havoc. As to what they claim their reason for joning our military -- anyone can say anything. Our military needs people such as Neil Roberts.

If you think Sept 11 was a catasprophy, wait till a "sleeper" Jihad fanatic types gain access to our missile silos and missile subs. They will be the "Mother of All Suicide Bombers".
