Elizabeth was taken from her home at about 1:30am on the morning of June 5th, 2002.

Please do not let yourself get sucked into a heavy HEATED discussion or argument from someone who wishes to come on this thread and make posts that will disrupt this thread. Thank you, Brigette, for keeping this thread going. I feel that Elizabeth's kidnapping is slipping slowly away from the media. So tragic. I will, as will everyone else, I'm sure, be praying for Elizabeth's safe return. I think that she is still alive.

can not believe we might have another unresolved child abduction..but I am losing confidence..

remember the day that Dinse came on and said we think we know who the suspect is and we have talked to him etc etc?...what happened to that euphoria?

I know people are thinking that this is just a burglary ring and Lizzie got caught..but honestly, what self-respecting burglar keeps stuff from his burglars in plain view at his house...if ricci thought he was going to be questioned, shouldn't he have at least moved the stuff to another location?

and why would a burglar wear white clothes?

No way was this a burglary ring. You're right.

What possesses 'men' (well, we all know that it's a man/men) to prey on our children? I will never understand this! So many missing children; it's disgusting!

Yes, you're right. After this post, I'll leave the men alone. But at least as an adult female, we have more of a 'fighting' chance, than a child/girl. This heats me up, cherry..you better believe it.

one thing though...is that convicted felons need to be in jail period...this in and out of prison with parole that evidently is often broken is insane..

There are SOME people who do learn their lesson and don't re-offend after parole. However, I feel that if a parolee DOES re-offend, they should be sent back to prison for LIFE with no more chances of parole. Their choice. Go straight or be eliminated from society.

If I was drivning home at 2 am and saw a guy in my neighborhood walking up the street with white and tan clothing, wearing a golf cap, looking like he belonged in the neighborhood, I would think nothing of it.

But, if I saw a guy wearing black clothing with pantyhose on his head, I would call the cops.

Sounds like our guy was avoiding suspicion.

I have lived around Salt Lake, not in Salt Lake for the last 16 years and I can't remember ever seeing anybody were a golf cap like the one discribed. I have seen them in the stores, so maybe people do buy them, I bet the police could search entire trailer parks in the area and not find a single golf cap like that of any color. I could be wrong but It really surprised me when they found one at Ricci's father in law's place next door. Why didn't they get rid of the hat if Ricci was being questioned? Maybe they are more common than I think. Anybody else in the Salt Lake area see people wearing these type of hats regularly?

Because Ricci used the hat w/o his father-in-law knowledge; Ricci then put the hat back in its place, thinking that the hat would not be an item wanted by the police.

I'm not sure we can assume it was the same hat.

I would still like to know IF there was ANY dna or other evidence to collect and to study....

I think the window was a diversion , no one came in that way, so I wouldn't expect any hair or fiber there..

Mention of a razor last week..to cut the screen perhaps?..and perhaps they can get fingerprints back on that but why has it taken this long?

I am afraid that she will never be found...very discouraged today.

the other thing...if Lizzie was in that jeep I am so sure they would have found some red fibers from her pj's..her pj's I bet are new to her this year...I bet she didn't have them back when the family still owned the jeep..so any red fibers would not be expected there at all..

of course, that is only relevant if the perp is Ricci or his buddies.....cops may be on the entirely wrong path..

I think the case will break open when they arrest the accomplice, 5'8" (slightly shorter than Ricci), dark hair, athletic, waved to by Ricci across the street from Moul Auto Repair at the time he returned his Jeep on Jun 8 wearing jeans and a T-shirt making a phone call. I think this is probably the same guy seen by the milkman in early hours of Jun 3 lurking in Federal Heights area in his vehicle, was probably the other car at the hospital on morning of Jun 5, and was the person that entered the house and kidnapped Elizabeth. I'm hoping they know who he is but don't want to bring him in because it could jeopardize Elizabeth, either he may be holding her or it would spoof the people that hired him to do the kidnapping. Ricci may not know who hired the kidnapping.

We take You at Your Word, Lord, as we once again commit Elizabeth and her family to You. We thank You for the answers that will surely come. In the Name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
