I keep seeing supporters of Israel, of which I am one, spelling Jews as Joooos. I have never seen that before seeing it here the past few months. What's the deal?Darned if I really know. I was one of the early adopters of the spelling. In my mind it was poking at people who are obsessed about the Jooooos being behind everything.
I have heard a few of them say it that way a time or two.
Also slightly reminiscent of the long "S" sound in Arabic, for no particular reason.
I think it's a reasonable counter balance to Møøse Limbs™...
"slightly reminiscent of the long "S" sound in Arabic ... " Maybe, but in the Arabic language the word is Yehud, (plural), with the characteristic HHHHH, to the H, which only native Arabic and Hebrew speakers can do properly.
