I haven't read the whole thread, so forgive me if this has been answered already...but last I heard, only THIS terminal is closed.

You could very well be correct. Somebody said earlier they "closed down" or "evacuated" the entire airport. I HOPE you are right. Evacuating a terminal 2 miles away from the El Al terminal after a local shooting is an overreaction to say the least. But ... I don't put it past these guys.

Planes in and out. Just that terminal (that I've heard of) is closed. But WHAT a mess.

That was me... I was transcribing KABC reports as they came in, unfiltered... some were conflicting and so some were obviously going to be wrong, sorry about the confusion.
