Anyone could walk into the terminal, loaded with hundreds of people, and open fire.

Wherever you put the security checkpoint, there will always be crowd of people queued up waiting to be cleared through. That crowd will always be a target.

You can relocate the problem, but you can't eliminate it.

Certainly, you can't eliminate the problem. But if you look at many foreign airport terminals, they metal detect screen everyone coming through the front doors; some even have X-ray for carryon and checked bags. In spite of the madhouse generally seen in the ticketing areas in these airports, I've never seen a backup of people waiting to get through the front door security. This would be a relatively simple thing to do and, as I have waited in many a ticket counter line since 9/11, I - for one - would feel much safer having these measures in place. Until we expel the Mohammedans between 15 and 45, we're going to need to take these measures.
