This man verbalizes what seems to be the inevitable, but it will take a disaster in America before we act.

In Dr. Morey’s new book, “Winning The War Against Radical Islam” he proposes a “final solution to international terrorism.” He believes the U.S. government and its allies should issue an official ultimatum to the terrorists: “We must tell all terrorist groups that the next time they destroy the lives and property of Americans at home or abroad, we will destroy Mecca, Medina and Dome Mosque.” (Please add Qum in Iran to this list. Qum is the Shiite holy city.)

Dr. Morey’s rationale pinpoints what he believes is an Achilles heel. “The greatest weakness of Islam is that it is hopelessly tied to sacred cities and buildings. If these cities and buildings were destroyed, Islam would die within a generation as it would be apparent to all that its god could not protect the three holiest sites in Islam.”(p)

“If there is no Mecca, you have no place to make your pilgrimage to,” Dr. Morey says. “If there is no Mecca, you have no place to pray to five times a day,” he says. “The root problem is the religion and the religion is based on those holy sites.”(p)

“Without those sites,” he adds, “the religion can’t function--Islam collapses like a deflated balloon.”(p)

Exactly right. Reward the bombers - get more bombs. Hurt the bombers and the cause they support - get fewer bombs.

"...This man verbalizes what seems to be the inevitable, but it will take a disaster in America before we act..."

Well, this way we can feel better justified among ourselves. It's part of our national personality to wait until we get punched really hard before cleaning house.

I just hope that the destruction of mecca and the other moslem pest-holes is filmed, so that the taxpayers who provided the weapons used to obliterate them are also able to enjoy the show.

Doubtless, the demon called allah will feel right at home in the fireball.

do the numbers, and i bet racial profiling still has its utility: essentially all groups/people mentioned by the author sound like non-whites.
and pls., let's not start talkin 'bout our boy LINDH-i'm referring to the more than "99 and 44 one hundreths" group.

I like this guy. Great ideas and truth always win out. Is the President listening? He should be. That would be a great speech.

“Why don’t we turn this around,” Dr. Morey suggested to the general. “Every time a suicide bomber kills innocent civilians, Israel should take land away from the Palestinians,” he proposed. “Israel will get bigger instead of smaller and stronger instead of weaker.”

They needed someone to tell them this?

I will answer my own question: Yes, they do. If you look at U.S. policy through Carter, Reagan, Bush, Clinton and now Bush, you see punitive military strikes that are rendered moot by appeasement. With Bush now proposing a Palestinian state, the Palestinians are saying: "See, we hit America hard and now it gives us what we want." When the Palestinian state inevitably doesn't pan out, the Palestinians and their terrorist groups can only come to the conclusion that more and harder strikes are needed.

Interesting isn't it, how 200 dead here, and 200 dead there in unknown cause
aircraft accidents out of Kennedy airport, and 2,800 plus at the World Trade Center, are not considered disaster enough.

The President:

Mankind. That word should have new meaning for all of us today.
We can't be consumed by our petty differences anymore. We will be united in our common interest. Perhaps it is fate that today is the fourth of July and you will once again be fighting for our freedom. Not from tyranny, oppression, or persecution, but from annihilation.
We're fighting for our right to live, to exist! And should we win the day, the 4th of July will no longer be known as an American holiday, but as the day when the world declared in one voice, "We will not go quietly into the night! We will not vanish without a fight! We're going to live on! We're going to survive! Today, we celebrate our Independence Day!"
President Thomas J. Whitmore (to bad it's a movie!)

Revelation 13
1 And the dragon stood on the shore of the sea. And I saw a beast coming out of the sea. He had ten horns and seven heads, with ten crowns on his horns, and on each head a blasphemous name.
2 The beast I saw resembled a leopard, but had feet like those of a bear and a mouth like that of a lion. The dragon gave the beast his power and his throne and great authority.

“Right now they’re not saying they’re going to keep it,” he adds, “but they’re taking it and that’s the policy.”

Why the hell not?
If the taking is not seen as permanent it's a wasted exercise... a Clintonian gesture of symbolism over substance.

Unless the Muslim Mass Murderers believe that the loss is permanent, it's a stupid idea.

Sad but true.
And the well-meaning do-gooders insist on this scenario because they know that their families and themselves would not be among the victims.
Karma won't permit it...

Any knowledge of Islam beyond the superficial or their propaganda, makes it obvious what the proper answer is.
Wonder how long the good Dr. has been saying this?

I been saying it since... ummmm October 2001.

This is all BS, Morey is a an idiot.

And a shameless self-promoter.

He didn't "invent" that strategy...

Apparently no one here wants to disassociate themselves from advocating blowing up religious sites. So I guess I will go first. Destroying religious sites is wrong, and effecting it will not eviscerate Islam. Not is just nutso. It may however energize more Muslin extremists to pursue using suitcase nukes though.

For someone who studies religion, Morey is pretty naive. The notion that Islam would die within a generation if its holy site were destroyed is counter-indicated by a number of lines of evidence and by experience. The Romans thought they were destroying the religion of Judaism by destroying the Temple and expelling the Jews from Jerusalem. Instead Judaism adapted. Religions are very adaptable (even if their own adherents vehemently deny that they have adapted to historical circumstance, instead claiming that they have "revived" the religion, or recovered its true roots, or some other such rationalization).

Similarly Morey claims that the destruction of the Kabba thingy would prove that Allah was impotent to protect it. It is doubtful that conclusion would be widely reached. Such discomfitures to a faith, even the most key elements thereof, inevitably are reinterpreted in some manner by the "true believers". If you look at the history of the various Millerite movements and/or the Jehova's Witness you will find that proselytization actually increased after each of the predictions of the end of the world failed. The destruction of Mecca and other sites would probably be hailed by the puritanical wahhabists as a test by God, and an attempt to lead his followers to even higher levels of purity and commitment. Or it might tend to liberalize Islam, as the destruction of the Temple tended to do for Judaism. This kind of things can't really be predicted.

Please 'cuse typos & misspells. Dashing this off in a hurry.
