daisy, you have to love the old Dodger-Giants battles. The great event was when one of the Dodger pitchers hit Juan Marischal in the noggin in retribution for some earlier malfeasance of sportsmanship by Senor Marischal. Juan didn't charge the mound like all the ham and eggers did. He was Juan Marischal; with Latino style and flair and passion. He took his bat and hit Dodger catcher John Roseboro over the head with it.

Bad boys, bad boys watcha gonna do ...

I don't remember that episode but I do recognize some of the names and I do remember the great pitching matchups between Drysdale and Koufax vs Marichal for the "big games".....I just love baseball trivia...Used to enjoy Dizzy Dean when he was a t.v. announcer for the Sat. games....Boy, could he tell some stories.....And Jerry Coleman is the announcer for the Padres (lordy he is way up there in age but still going strong); he played for the Yankees (but you knew that) and his career was interrupted when he went to War in WWII but he came back after he served our country and continued his career...He is very modest about his military career but I understand he was quite a hero in the War.....
