Hell, many people are still refighting the Civil War.

Or - putting it another way - Whitewater (and all the other scandals and alleged scandals) were big news as long as Clinton was President.

W. will get the same treatment. When he's done his misdeeds will be of interest mainly to cranks and historians. The public will devote it's energies to trashing or idolizing the next office-holder.
