My kids swap rooms all the time, girls in with their brother, and vice versa. They just don't like being alone.

My oldest is only 8, though.

I would be interested in knowing how often they switched rooms and the circumstances.I agree that kids like to move around and share beds..(mine always did too)BUT if it was because she was scared when she heard strangers in the house that is a whole other matter!

My oldest son was the only one with his own room. The girls had theirs, and the two baby boys had theirs. So, what you said made sense and could very well be the reason Danielle slept in her brother's room. OTOH ...
