Thank you!....does it say about using it on the CD's/Zips before they downloaded to the HD's?...(thought that was done by another company RTCF or something)

He didn't say if they used Encase on the CDs/zips. He just said that he took the media to the lab, and made copies of them onto their hard drive, then examined the contents.

Okay. Just took a brief trip through Encase's website. Though I'm no computer geek, and husband-the-compu-guy isn't here to translate, my understanding of Encase (from their product specifications) is that the data has to be on a hard drive or a network server in order to be accessed. If I'm reading that correctly, that means that the Cds/zip disks could not be "Encased" before they were dumped onto a HD.
