When the cops looked at them the "last access" date and time changed.
Okay, that happens as soon as you open "Properties" on that file. I found that out the other day. Two questions, though. From what I've read on here, the police weren't at DW's house at that time, so couldn't have left that timestamp (and by extrapolation, the next person to have looked at that file would have changed the "last access" time, wiping out any viewing at 4-ish).
So..who did the screen capture that showed that date and time?? Is this clear as mud yet? As far as I can recall, neither police nor Watkins (computer geek) were in the DW house at approx. 4. I could be wrong.

The disk drives were copied onto new hard drives, the next day? So from then on, the copies were used and orginal should have remained the same. I'll bet that the sneaky cop software puts a date back like it was after it accesses a file. They're actually quite easy to change with the right software. Norton Utilities can do it.
