Interesting NO one is talking about that casing..it was a spent shell if I remember correctly..cops must account for all bullets...so it could not have been "dropped " by a careless cop..(doesn't that give you confidence)

Could it be one of the party goers dropped it ?

Were there prints on it? All weapons leave marks on the bullets (from the imperfections in the gun barrel ) so you can match the bullet to gun that fired it. Is there any evidence they attempted to do that ?

That bullet did not walk into that room..who has a gun (do they have to register guns in Ca. ?

I'm convinced that DVD "dropped" the shell casing in the room to "help" the focus shift from he and brenda...LE had already focused on an "outside" intruder, this would just make it more probable.

Dorie Savage was in Danielle's bedroom on her hands and knees plucking carpet samples, looking for trace, etc, she leaves at 5:30am on 2/3..no bullet.

Dorie comes back at 10am on 2/3..stairs have been vacuumed, gate is up at entrance to Danielle's room....spent shell casing is laying on the floor.

Dorie Savage did not mention this casing at the PH...in fact, her PH testimony was a little different than her trial testimony in more ways.

The gate was to keep people out and preserve evidence....preserve it, hell, it produced some out of thin air.
