Oh, they are effective. Without them, the status would have been even worse. As it is, child porn is a hi-revenue criminal enterprise and every bit as difficult to control as the drug trade.

The worldwide drug trade is probably the 2nd or 3rd largest industry on the planet. Child porn, while a very serious problem, doesn't even remotely compare.
