As usual for drug warriors, you have been reduced to ad hominem attacks. I don't drink, smoke, or use narcotics either, yet I oppose the WOD because it is
none of my business if my neighbor wants to smoke a joint in his home. And when the government attempts to stamp out such victimless crimes, they invariably infringe upon my rights (and my wallet) even though I am "innocent".
Around 10 years ago, I shared your views. I even wanted alcohol to be re-Prohibited. Then I came to realize that giving government the power required to stop these private acts results in massive violations of rights, and doesn't even accomplish the stated goal. Although if the real goal is to increase the size and power of government, the WOD has worked quite well.
You have a valid point there. However, giving in to the outlaw element of Society is basically going to the opposite extreme. I don't think alcohol should be prohibited. We tried that once, and it didn't work, but America shouldn't repeat the same mistake by legalizing drugs. Drugs are illegal- and should remain illegal. I don't care what the potheads say legalizing drugs will increase recreational use, and subsequently increase addiction! All you have to do is look at the History books to see a good example.
