"....their studies suggest that the brain uses a night's sleep to consolidate the memories of habits, actions and skills learned during the day...."
Defragging?

Well, now I no longer have to defend the afternoon Siestas I love so much!
For about a year while doing graphic arts out of my house with two small children, I got into a sleep pattern that consisted of four hours at night and 3-4 hours in the afternoon - never felt so good and clear headed!

On another similar list they suggest that the best thing to do is to lift your head and say reverentially, "Amen."

My father is the hardest working man I've known and he would take a 20 minute lunch and a 40 minute nap everyday. I learned from him the value of a nap. I true to shut my eyes for 10 mins at lunch when I can.

sleep even a nap appears to enhance information processing and learning. Then I'm on course to become the smartest man in the world. :-)

Well, I have to say that MY new sleeping regime fits me pretty well ...
I sleep eight hours at night from 10 PM to 6 AM.
Have breakfast from 6 AM to 7 AM.
Partake in my morning power nap from 7 AM to 12 Noon.
Awaken and vigorously partake of my lunch from 12 to 1 PM.
Invest in another power nap from 1 PM to 5 PM.
Arise to expend my saved energy by eating dinner from 5 PM to 6 PM.
Pace myself with another power nap from 6 PM to 9 PM.
Access my new font of energy with a late night snack from 9 PM to 10 PM.
And then repeat the cycle.
I've never felt so alive!

A Change Is As Good As A Rest.
Here's proof.

The study was done at Harvard. Makes ya wonder.............

Wonder about what? You think there's better research being done at Southwestern Mississippi Community Bible College?

Did I hit a nerve?
Good......

If it's good for you, don't stop on my account. What is it about Harvard that makes you wonder? If you had to make a list of the ten universities most likely to discover the cure for cancer, would Harvard be on the list? Would Bob Jones U. make the cut?

>Evidence is mounting that sleep even a nap appears to enhance information processing and learning.
That's what I keep telling everyone.
