I don't even know how you'd research it unless you did a civil war search re: shell shock or gunshot wounds. They were the walking wound. It must have been hell to be just a body walking around. This country's been through some tough times that's for sure. I'll never forget September 11th. It was unimaginable. Those people wanted to live and so do we.
