NOT a SINGLE civilian was HARMED, though all but TWO of the criminals, who had been murdering/raping/stealing/committing arson in MO, on the kill lists were killed. seems OK to me.
BTW, the criminals (who SAID they were members of a legal ORGANIZED US military unit)in Lawrence were armed and DANGEROUS!

Quantrill killed unarmed men and boys. All Yankees, so I guess that was criminal enough for you. I guess that qualifies as a victory in your eyes. If the Yankees do it then it's a war crime. When the rebels do it then it's a valid military target.
