From his insult of Union soldiers. Calling them stupid for marching straight at the rebel guns. That's pretty much a description of Pickett's charge. Or is it when Union soldiers do it, it's stupid, and when rebel soldiers do it, it's valiant?I can't imagine that anyone, in retrospect, believes the Napoleonic style of battle is expedient. Personally, I prefer the military tactics of Frances Marion in the Rev. War, and CSA heroes Moseby, Morgan and Jeb Stuart, among other valiant Southern soldiers, cavalry men and sailors.
