When talk turns to the Civil War and blacks' role with the Confederacy, there is no room for revisionist theories for Asa R Gordon

Well Asa, there's a lot of black folks walking around whose grandparents and great grandparents are telling them bold faced lies about fighting for the South then!!

In the United States, Confederate memorials dot the countryside. The flag is flown with pride. The Nazi flag - and Nazi leaders - inspire hatred.

And you know what? There's even a few to the brave black soldiers who fought for the South!! What are you going to do about those? Tear them down? Wouldn't that be racist of you

And looky here. Why say it ain't so, Walt!!!

Asa supports the SPLC!!

Here's a page all about Asa and the 'wonderful' organizations he supports. This fool couldn't even get into another organization so I guess he had to start his own!!!! And right from Asa's page

The Douglass Institute of Government (DIG) is an educational " think tank " dedicated to research and policy studies on African - American culture, history, and relevant contemporary issues in support of Frederick Douglass' admonition to a young student: "Agitate, agitate, agitate".

Affirmative action is widely thought to be unfair because it benefits minority applicants at the expense of more deserving whites. Yet this perception tends to inflate the cost beyond its real proportions. While it is true that affirmative action gives minority applicants a significant boost in selective admissions, it is not true that most white applicants would fare better if elite schools eliminated the practice. Understanding why is crucial to separating fact from fiction in the national debate over affirmative action. ...These figures show that rejected white applicants have every reason not to blame their misfortune on affirmative action. In selective admissions, the competition is so intense that even without affirmative action, the overwhelming majority of rejected white applicants still wouldn't get in.

Gee Walt do you think you could come up with anybody else further to the left than Asa? Or anymore racist? Click on the link!! It's a joke

The CSA exposed.

More like Walt exposed. Do you support the SPLC and Morris Dees, Walt?

Hey everybody!! Asa's giving a lecture The subject covered
Statistics as the "mathematics of the collection, organization, and interpretation of the numerical data, esp. the analysis of population characteristics by inference from sampling", (American Heritage Dictionary), is accepted as a valid scientific discipline in our social endeavors except where it might infer the racist characteristics of a measured white population. Here it suffers racist exclusion as a science by arguing that any statistical proof of discriminatory bias should move us to reject as reverse discrimination a statistical response "quotas" that would guarantee access to victims of the bias, to the detriment of those who have been statistically proven to have benefited from that bias. We cannot respond to a prejudicial imbalance in numbers by resorting to numbers.
This is Jim Crow science.

An overview of the statistical proof of structural White Supremacy that cannot and will not be addressed, by Law

Jim Crowe Science

Hey Walt, you going? Can I catch a ride with you? It's free admission. Probably the only way this fool could get anybody to show up!!

Gordon's DIG foundation is based on Fred Douglass' observations. But the forgot this Douglass account at the onset of war:

"There are at the present moment, many coloured men in the Confederate Army doing duty, not only as cooks, servants and labourers, but as real soldiers, having muskets on their soldiers and bullets in their pockets, ready to shoot down Loyal troops and do all that soldiers may do to destroy the Federal Government, and build up that of the traders and rebels."

-- Federick Douglas, fall of 1861 From the Columbus (GA) Daily Sun, August, 1st 1862

Gordon and his DIG foundation are as racist as the come (see his junky geocities website). His work amounts to nothing but ankle-biting agitators trying to cause a rift in race-relations. I will try to attend the next seminar these jokers put on - I would love to see the 3-hour comedy show. Walt, save me a seat!

I'm sure glad I've been straightened out on the 'Civil War' by this Asswipephysicist and SPLC shill. If it weren't for him, I might've thought this southern black man was right:
A more plausible source of North-South antagonism is suggested in an 1831 speech by South Carolina Sen. John C. Calhoun where he said, "Stripped of all its covering, the naked question is whether ours is a federal or consolidated government; a constitutional or absolute one; a government resting solidly on the basis of the sovereignty of the States, or on the unrestrained will of a majority; a form of government, as in all other unlimited ones, in which injustice, violence and force must ultimately prevail." A significant source of Southern discontent was tariffs Congress enacted to protect Northern manufacturing interests. Referring to those tariffs, Calhoun said, "The North has adopted a system of revenue and disbursements in which an undue proportion of the burden of taxation has been imposed on the South, and an undue proportion of its proceeds appropriated to the North." Among other Southern grievances were Northern actions similar to King George III's Navigation Acts, which drove our Founders to the 1776 War of Independence. Dr. Walter Williams, George Mason University

Lincoln's intentions, as well as that of many northern politicians, were summarized by Stephen Douglas during the presidential debates. Douglas accused Lincoln of wanting to "impose on the nation a uniformity of local laws and institutions and a moral homogeneity dictated by the central government" that "place at defiance the intentions of the republic's founders." Douglas was right, and Lincoln's vision for our nation has now been accomplished beyond anything he could have possibly dreamed.

A precursor for a War Between the States came in 1832, when South Carolina called a convention to nullify tariff acts of 1828 and 1832, referred to as the "Tariffs of Abominations." A compromise lowering the tariff was reached, averting secession and possibly war. The North favored protective tariffs for their manufacturing industry. The South, which exported agricultural products to and imported manufactured goods from Europe, favored free trade and was hurt by the tariffs. Plus, a northern-dominated Congress enacted laws similar to Britain's Navigation Acts to protect northern shipping interests. Dr. Walter Williams, George Mason University
