Technically not an SUV but the 440-4 V-8 and TorqueFlite trany will out pull what passes for power in most of the SUV's on the road these days.

Passes everything on the road but the gas station.

Now that's an Urban Assault Vehicle®

About the only other thing that would qualify in that class is the Buick Deuce-and-a-quarter pimpmobile...

I prefer the 1970's Ford/Merc wagons with the 400(runs forever) or the 460(torque monster). And they are the ONLY vehicles I own that allow one to drive all day without feeling the need for a chiropractor and/or hot tub. I am VERY close to transplanting the front seat from one into a hip-killing Dodge Shadow that I am currently forced to use for 46 miles per day while my wagons are sleeping(waiting parts for "state inspection").

I did crank 'em up on Earth Day just to do my fair share to prevent the next Ice Age we were warned about in the 1970's.....

7.9 liter V8

Since I know a Pontiac 455 is 7.5 liters, I was compelled to do the math...

440 ci = 7.2 liters.

So, unless you've bored her out to something close to 482 ci, 'taint no 7.9 liters under your hood. ;-)
