Wrong.
Their ultimate goal is to shove us into their absurd public transport projects, with brute force if necessary.
By the way, is that car a Smart, made by a joint venture (if my memory serves) of Mercedes and the Swatch watch people?
If so, Car magazine (UK) tested it and if my memory serves, you'll love it if you want to get into really tight parking spaces, hate it otherwise.
I don't like SUVs myself because they're ugly. But my Mercedes 420SEL sedan is hardly a fuel conservation paragon :-).

But, then, SUVs are on my list of "Things that don't need to be."Who decides?
You don't need a computer. You are wasting the blood of precious Gaia by using a computer, even if you are off the grid. Sturdy shoes, coarse clothing, backbreaking labor. Those are the things you need. It is decided.
Socialism fails badly. Always has, always will. Failure to recognize that is delusion.

They do SO want you and the family to cram into a small car. This is so dang hideous..... Remember when the Truckers were ticked off and circled the White House to show how upset they were
I'm thinking maybe a few SUV's should head up to Grey Out Davis's place and HONK SOME HORNS

How can I ever do with less? My wife and kids simply won't let me! THEY LOVE THE MAYOR!

There is a link to a website against the measure at GoGov.com. It is at the top of the page.
http://gogov.com
I'll see if I can get the exact URL for you but in the mean time you can get to it from there.
Also, Cal Worthington has been airing commercials about it on KFI.
Your Assembly Person will know about it. They won't say if they are for or against it but they know about.
Now, I need to get back to html bootcamp. I seem to have forgotten how to put up a link. Anyone have the html bootcamp link? Thanks

Sounds ok to me. But, then, SUVs are on my list of "Things that don't need to be." Before I jump to conclusions, I'll ask. What is that comment supposed to mean?

This bill is essentially a clone of California's 1989 Roberti-Roos 'Assault Weapons' ban, the differences being that everywhere a particular model of gun is mentioned, they mention a type of SUV -- and also that there were no Republican traitors that voted for this bill like they did for Roberti-Roos.
Bet that Gray Davis will sign this bill. Expect to hear the phrase 'the people hired me to make the tough decisions, so I'm making them' just like every time that pol-watchers think that Davis won't sign unpopular legislation yet he does anyway.
It'll also be upheld in the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals as 'Constitutional'.
Pretty soon, New Jersey, New York, and Massachusetts will follow along with similar legislation.
I have seen this movie before.

"It is sickening."Ladies and Gentlemen of the FreeRepublic Jury...
The Governor of California is Now For Sale!
The bidding in campaign funds for the veto/signing will be between GANG-GREEN and the makers of "Freedom Machines!"
His mentor, Governor Moonbeam, stopped freeway building, numerous water storage projects, but could hardly stop a Mediterannian Fruit Fly. Together, they have destroyed the most forward looking State in the history of Earth, promoted by Moonbeam's daddy!

I would not put it past this putz! I know a state senator and he mentioned this is Doofus's way.

Wondering if this is a setup for Grey, so he can save the day by vetoing it. I wouldn't put it past the slimy Dems to pull something like this.
There are going to be so many people in line to go to court over this POS legislation, it's laughable.

Its high time for Simple Simon to act like Mr. Simon and attack this bill immediately. We the sheeple have no control over the media, nothing anywhere will be said to oppose this legislation. The only way I heard about it was a commercial with Hal Worthington. I haven't seen anything in the Sac. Bee about this bill. Bill Simon needs to be e-mailed by mass Freepers and get the dems cut down to size.
