The NEA is a monopoly. Monopolies are illegal. The NEA must be broken up. Move over Bill Gates. Additionally, if the WEA waltzes in later and the judge strikes the fine I will be livid - an action which will be translated into $ for EFF.
Competing teacher's unions/professional organizations would do lots to advance the US education system. IMHO

In general, a monopoly is not illegal.
Also, If the NEA pays the fine, where will the funds come from ? The dues, of course. The rank & file take it in the neck either way. too sad.
