Did you hear about that Pak wedding last week. 20 people died and 60 were wounded when (as every one was shooting their guns off) loaded a mortar backwards...

"Are we up to 3,000 yet?"
These are innocent people, not the Taliban or terrorists."
What percentage of Muslims really fit the definition of "innocent people?" The majority of Muslims may not be committing violent acts, but they're cheering the terrorists on!

I am truly sorry for the loss of civilian lives.Don't be sorry yet. This is being deconstructed as a lie already.

Where is this deconstruction taking place?

They said the bombing occurred 105 miles northeast of the southwestern city of Kandahar at about 1 a.m. local time.A wedding at 1:00 AM local? Is this a cultural thing?

We've got stories from Rueters and AP so far.
Any idea when we might see something from a serious news organization?

What, you think nobody parties hearty in Afghanistan? Yes, but someone needs to inform them that if they shoot their guns in the air in celebration, there is a high possibility that they may get some uninvited guests...
To: RCW2001
Simple way to solve this is to raze the entire area - complaints will stop, witnesses will not exist, and since a HUGE percentage of terrorists are saudi in origin, it'll be a start toward real peace....
OK, I'm being a tad macabre, but the fact about the saudi origins of terrorism is all too true; sad that innocents (are there ANY islamic "innocents"?) get destroyed sometimes (!), but if they had given up all the al qaeda leadership right up front, this wouldn't have happened - plenty of blame to go around, no matter WHAT the truth of the situation turns out to be!!

Okay, they may not be innocent.
But the title of the thread seems to indicate otherwise, and if accurate this is a tragedy, not something that should be cheered.

U.S. Bomb Kills At Least 250 At Afghan Wedding Are you quite sure they weren't celebrating by shooting their mortars in the air again?

loaded a mortar backwards...Sounds like they could use the labeling technique we apply to some of our weapons:
Front Toward Enemy

"Their families are gone. The villagers brought these children and they have no parents. Everyone says that their parents are dead Who invites children that are not from your family to a wedding at 1:00AM. I sense that we need a BS meter.
