I don't believe them. I just flat don't believe them.

Why not just have the nutcases come out and certify the land as developable and then allow that to be that?

Honestly, after the lynx hair boondoggle I can see these guy's driving around construction sites with a cooler full of dead frogs.

Truthfully, if you let lefties run around trying to "discover" an endangered species on job sites with the understanding that if they do find one that the developer is fried and the development itself will probably be shut down then rest asured they will "find" them as often as possible.

Also, aside from the enviro nuts it could open the door to blackmail. Can't you hear someone threatning a developer with an "endangered species" that could kill his whole investment unless he pays up? I don't think that scenario is out of the question at all.

Let them certify the land as free of protected critters and leave it at that. No "discovering" stuff after the deal is sealed and the ground is broken.

That's not going to happen and you know it. There is no way fedgov is going to let you shoot the last bald eagle in existance just because it lives in your barn and even if they would the State, which can Constitutionally sieze your land under emminent domain most certainly won't.

Let them certify it and if they won't then they should either let you clear it or compensate you for it. No swiping land or declaring it off limits without just compansation.

You must have read the Constitution. Now if only our "leaders" would do the same... ;)

Yes, the way I see it the 5th allows either the fed or the state to grab land. But they have to pay you for it and they have to pay market value.

None of this declaring your living room a "wetlands" and telling you that you are forbidden to use it. I don't see justification for that anywhere and, frankly it's closer to theft than "public use"

First of all, it's absolutely impossible to say it is the last colony.

And if it is the last colony, it was on it's way out.

Do you think all species live forever??

I have a right to develop my property within "reasonable" boundaries.Fill the pond?? Yes. The frogs would merely migrate to the drainage paths on the property.

Land ownership is and remains one of the most important elements of our continuously developing nation.

Do you think all species live forever??

22 Wherefore I perceive that there is nothing better, than that a man should rejoice in his own works; for that is his portion: for who shall bring him to see what shall be after him?

Genesis 3:21 Unto Adam also and to his wife did the LORD God make coats of skins, and clothed them.

seems the Lord preferred coats of skin over the fig leaves that Adam ad Eve had used.

Exodus 8:13 And the LORD did according to the word of Moses; and the frogs died out of the houses, out of the villages, and out of the fields.

One of my future daughter in laws is a vegan. But she does eat fish. She loves rice and roast gravy. Shrimp and crabs.

She is also confused, vegans don't eat or use any animal products at all. At least the true believers don't.

Not trying be a butthead, but I spend almost a year converting my daughter back to sanity after she got tied up with the vegan part of PETA.

I hate those fascist bastards.

It was a happy ending, just so you know.

uestion: Would you fill in the pond anyway?,

Lets see now, if I am a humanitarian (or is it frogitarian) I could contact somebody to tell them to come out and catch the remaining frogs and then fill in the pond and play tennis.

However, you know and I know that the minute I call whomever to come out and catch those damn frogs, that area would be declared a protected species area and any hopes of developing my property the way I wish would be thrown out the window.

I am a law abiding citizen but I am now familiar with the way the government plays ball.

So, who wants to play tennis Saturday and stick around for a dinner of fried frog legs and beer?

So you are dodging the reality of the lies/bad science of the enviral whackos? (non puffy ?)

Anyone who supports the lies and bad science of the enviral whackos which ranks critters as more important than humans is not a conservative. (Reality observation not puff!)

I'm sorry I couldn't join in the fun in a timely manner. I was out of town.

You know we talked about this during the Condit Freep. I told you that because of the way the gub'ment uses the ESA that it's in the property owners best interest to eradicate the specie from their property before the gub-ment finds out or risk losing THEIR rights. (As demonstrated by most of the replies on this thread.) If the gub'ment really gave a damn they would find another habitat for the specie rather than burden the property owner with a problem beyond they're control.

I wouldn't hesitate to destroy the frog for fear of losing control of my own property - whether I was going to build a tennis court or not. Mine and my family comes first.

Did a little check on some of the environmentalists.....

Looks like we've got a lot of "Loons".

Time to reduce their ranks.

Write your Congressman.
