I have a better question: What percentage of Mexican troops or federales are honest and law-abiding?

But after September 11, officials say, the National Guard was forced to refocus its resources at official ports of entry, minimizing its presence in the more remote areas where the military incursions and the bulk of the smuggling take place. I wonder if Bush found this too embarrassing to mention to Fox?

"Do Mexican Troops Bring Drugs to U.S.?"Of course they do. Drug cartels can afford the very best, including US customs officials, local politicians, Federal Judges, prosecutors, etc. etc. They have plenty of money thanks to the war on drugs.

Do Mexican Troops Bring Drugs to U.S.?Does it ever rain in Seattle?

"What percentage of Mexican troops or federales are honest and law-abiding?"You don't understand. There are no honest troops or federales. They aren't paid enough to be honest. They can however, make alot of money by being dishonest.

Thanks for the pings Tancredo and holyscroller.
This article is 100% correct. I worked two years in Lukeville, AZ and have many stories just like these ones.
I remember the first time I saw the Nighthawks. They pulled up to the Port of Entry to say hello. They were in a camo pickup, and in the bed was mounted, what looked like a tow missile system. It was a super high power night vision scoop. The guys told me they can see as clear as day for 10 to 12 miles, even with no moon and cloud cover.

The percentage that is currently pushing up daisies, and put there by their former comrades.
To: Marine Inspector
So, what did they
see with this Mega-Night Scope? And what were they able to
do about it?
My suspected answers: a) A lot, and b) Not Much.

They would watch the border and direct the Border Patrol too intercept the groups of illegals, as they could see both the group and the Patrol.
The Border Patrol seemed to like having them around.

The tragedy of 9/11 was the best thing that ever happened to the drug smugglers.
After 9/11, we didn't call up additional National Guard troops to secure the borders, we just moved the ones that were already there.
This was nothing but smoke and mirrors for the cameras. What a farce.

So much for the legitimacy of the War on Drugs.
To: Marine Inspector
Too bad it wasn't a TOW missle. Too bad it wasn't mounted on a Bradley Fighting vehicle. Too bad we can send them into Mexico just to see the look of Fox's face when we tell him they just forgot where the border was.

I say arrest the criminals. Only the libertarians would want to do the drugs with them when they get here! LOL

It's probably very low, they are even suspected in murdering some of the young women who have been killed along the border recently. There are almost no honest Mexican politicians or officials.

"Former U.S. DEA Special Agent Phil Jordan said the Juárez drug cartel has corrupted federal, state and city police to the extent that “police no longer investigate murders. They’re too busy protecting drug shipments for the narcos.”
Two Mexican federal agents, Carlos Cardenas Cruz and Jorge Garcia Paz, are wanted for questioning by Chihuahua state authorities in connection with the 1998 disappearances of Silvia Arce, 29, and Griselda Mares, 24.
Chihuahua officials said the agents allegedly had Arce and Mares tortured and killed over missing weapons that were stored at the old Pachangas Club, where the Juárez women worked. Witnesses said the federal officers mistakenly thought Arce and Mares had stolen the weapons, which had been moved, state officials said."
