"Think about it. Is there no sense of integrity in business. No, there`s not. Why?"
Could it have anything to do with eight years of a president who made powerful people understand that it's perfectly OK to lie, cheat and steal with no punishment for their crimes? Nah.

Think about it. Is there no sense of integrity in business. No, there`s not. Why? Because money and power are their idols. Where there is no God but money and power, there is no hope for integrity.
____________
interesting that when Martina Navritilova said pretty much the same thing, the tone at FR was to drum her right out of the country...so what will the tone be now that Mr. Keyes has said the same...

LYNN: If you don`t like the defense department, you can`t say, well, look, give me a couple of vouchers. I`m going to buy my own guns. And then the other people who want the defense department, they can have it. But I`m going to take my little voucher and use it for guns and security systems in my house. We can`t do that. "This" is the type of reasoning our opponents use, and yet, they control the dialogue.
It is truly amazing.

This is the type of reasoning our opponents use, and yet, they control the dialogue. The answer to this is easy:
First, defense is a legitimate governmnet function.
Second, education is not. Why? Ask yourself -- if we as a free people do not allow the government to dictate the content of our newspapers, where is the justification for allowing it to dictate the content of our classrooms and textbooks?

Is it time for a new verse?
God -less America
Fallen from heights
Separating
Our Nation
From the Creator who endowed us with rights
We've established
Irreligion
From the high courts of our land
Wake up America
And take a stand
May God bless America
And heal our land

It is strange that in the first part Keyes was so adamant about the meaning of the "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion" but in the second part he let Mr. Lynn get away over and over with a premise that it was "forbidden" for the government to support religious schools.

I just heard Michael Medved arguing with a caller about removing "under God" from the pledge. He had some good arguements like why the discomfort of the atheist minority should rule over the will of the majority - but he kind of accepted the caller's premise that the constitution prohibids religion.
The caller said "I do not want tax dollars going to religious schools". Michael responded that in that Ohio case the voucher is $2,500 while the taxpayers pay $8,500 per a public school student, and that therefore the taxpayers will save $6,000 on each student with society benefiting from the students better education. Sounds logical to a conservative but to a liberal it means that
a. They lose control of $6,000;
b. The tax payers will be "richer" by $6,0000 - an anathema!
c. They lose control over brainwashing of some seqment of the future generation;
d. The "enemy" - religion gets that segment!
e. They will lose control over indocrination as parents will naturally select what is better for their kids.

AKIMS ends with a fine show.He should use it as a demo to shop around to other networks/outlets.

I read in the paper today that Donahue really wants to get Clinton on his new show. Donahue is in--Alan Keyes is out. I'm sure many are happy.
To: Keyes For President
He'll have higher ratings...he has a built in audience already...
To: Keyes For President
I can't stand Donahue. I won't be watching. Its the liberal Donahue, followed by the liberal Matthews, followed by the liberal Bansfield.
To: Keyes For President
Wow, great ending to a great show! Bump.
To: Keyes For President
He should use it as a demo to shop around to other networks/outlets. Yes it was a good show and Alan improved alot (less handwaving and talking over guests and insisting on the last word) but I think he needs a new format.
I suggested a tagteam match with Alan and either a regular teammate (i.e. Ann Coulter, Mark Levin, Kelly Ann Fitzpatrick, Thomas Soul) or a new teammate each week. They could debate 2 or 3 issues each night against a tagteam of liberals and the audience could vote online as to who won the debate.
Whatta ya think?

I was thinking of inviting Judge Thomas - imagine several evenings of them going on about religious subjects, morals, setting up history straight, remembering their upbringing - the pace would be much slower, every word would weigh a ton, their respect for each other would resonance to the viewer...
They would complement each other like no others!

keywords: Without God - Keyes wasn't condemning money, but Money without God. Money is NOT the root of all evil. The LOVE of money is.
