Why didn't Jayna go public with the prior-warning information until recently?

She tried to on O'Reilly in May of 2001, but he cut her off in spite of knowing what she had. She gave her information to John Solomon of AP but as recent as March 2002, he was not taking it seriously. Of course, he had an about face and then did the story on it but he never even told her he was interested in the warning.

What I have learned is that these warnings are more common than one might think. Evidently, one of the tactics of terrorists, especially ME, is to give out a bunch of false information on an impending attack and then people get to where they think it is another false warning. The reason that Jayna always had an interest in these particular warnings is that they confirmed what she had learned on the ground, so to speak, in Oklahoma City about the ME connection. The fact that these warnings do occur when nothing happens may be why no one would give her the air time to get her story out. False warnings when nothing ever happened may explain why there was some effort to figure out if something might happen, but not enough to stop it. Someone, somewhere probably made the decision that we won't evacuate the building every time we receive a threat. There had been sightings of the bomb squad at and near the Murrah building, so there was some effort made. We even see since 9-11 many false warnings given out by the ME.

You also have to understand a little of the atmosphere here in Oklahoma. The victims and the victims family were so embraced by the justice department and very dependent on them for the truth. I know that some of the liasons with these victims and family members were trashing Jayna if anyone were to ask. I had one personally say something to me that did not know I knew Jayna and this person was one of the chief liasons. I happened to know this person from an organization that we were both involved in. This was right after KFOR aired their first stories. Someone had wished that Jayna had told them (the victims and families) after her grand jury testimony about the prior warning. But to her the significance was how it corroborated her ME information, not that the government somehow had enough information that they could have stopped it. These last two paragraphs are IMHO. I hope it helps answer your question.
