You don't have a contract. If you did, you could have decided whether or not to contribute at all.

What a neat chart! I wish I had seen a few years ago when I privately investigated the same stats at the large NY corporation where I worked. When I reported my results, the HR people laughed and said I had made up the results. The stats I found are virtually the same as those on the chart. Most of our company's retirees who left at ages between 60 and 65 died before they got their 18th monthly check! Mama mia! I left at 58 so I lost only 6 years of life span, give or take a couple of years. It would be best to retire at 40. Save up!

My Dad is 72 and is still kicking A$$ and taking names. He will never retire. Now me on the other hand will retire because I have found the great game of Golf.

I am 67, work more hours than I did at 35, love my work, have no plans to retire. BUT, according to this chart, I am already dead.

Now tell that to the lady whose house I decorated this week, finished today. She was so happy with her beautiful custom made window fashions.

And, why would I retire, my work is superior in looks and quality.
